Sunshine

This Art Deco apartment on the southern edge of Oval Maidan was renovated into a bright, warm home for a young couple and their growing family of pets. While the space had strong bones with high ceilings and iconic views, years of alterations had left it feeling fragmented. With the original terrazzo flooring damaged beyond repair, the apartment was fully gutted and rebuilt to restore clarity and cohesion. The design blends heritage character with a modern, minimal sensibility, grounded in a neutral palette with colour used sparingly. Lightweight materials suited the heritage structure, including a seamless epoxy resin floor. Custom Art Deco inspired double glazed windows reduce street noise and flood the home with light.
